How it Works
Hostfold connects directly from your iPhone to your own servers over SFTP. There is no Hostfold server in between.
- Machines you add and the folders and files you save are stored only on your device.
- Passwords and private keys are kept in the iOS Keychain on your device.
- Files travel only between your device and your server.

- Which servers work? Any server with SSH and SFTP enabled — Linux, macOS (Remote Login), NAS devices, Raspberry Pi.
- Why won't a video play? Hostfold plays formats iOS supports natively (MP4, MOV, M4V; MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC). Other formats can be exported to another app.
- Restoring Hostfold Pro: open About and tap Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account.
